Pulling up this old LCS Summer Split bracket in 2026 feels like opening a time capsule. I'm just a regular player who loves digging through old match day threads, but I still remember how tense day two felt... It was close for CLG, but they and IMT both took care of business yesterday to keep their position in the bracket alive. Nothing much changed overnight, but here's the bracket going into day two.

With that win, IMT can no longer be usurped by C9 or EnVy. They can, however, be passed by everyone else. They're matched up against EF today, so they shouldn't have too much to worry about. Honestly, I'd be shocked if they drop this one.

TSM has P1, and P1 just hasn't looked good the past few weeks. Sure, they got a win against CLG last week, but that felt more like CLG experimenting than P1 straight-up outplaying them. If everything goes as it should, TSM should be able to play their style and get an easy win today. But if they lose... that's a huge opening for C9 to take their spot. I mean, no pressure, right?
Team EnVy vs Cloud9
Luckily for C9, EnVy lost yesterday. That took away EnVy's opportunity to surpass the teams in fourth place. C9 still has a chance to pass TSM if TSM drops both matches, and at the very least they can pass DIG thanks to that loss yesterday to lock up fourth for themselves. So C9 needs this win and needs to win out. EnVy is basically playing spoiler in their final match of the Summer Split. I think C9 takes it, but it might get rough. You know how these end-of-split games go...
Echo Fox vs Immortals
IMT has Echo Fox and can keep first place all to themselves with a win here. If they lose, TSM can tie or even pass them since IMT is only one game ahead. They made yesterday look easy by taking down the tougher EnVy side, so I doubt they'll have many problems here today. I'm expecting another clean sweep and first place secured. Let's be honest, this one feels almost scripted.
FlyQuest vs Team Liquid
And finally, the game that doesn't matter for playoffs. What FlyQuest and TL are playing for is the promotion tournament. Every game matters for every team, and even theirs can save them. The bottom three teams are all tied for last place, so any win gets them further from relegation in the last split of the LCS where that might actually matter.
With how the teams have been playing lately, I think TL can pull this one out. They've been looking better and better, and with Dardoch back, for now, maybe they can have a happy ending to this split. Fingers crossed, because as a fan it'd be nice to see them avoid the promotion tournament.
Looking back now from 2026, these old brackets remind me how much the LCS has changed. Some of these orgs are long gone, some have rebranded, but the day-two stakes were just as fun. Relegation, promotion tournaments, spoiler matches... the drama never gets old. If you were around back then, you probably remember the exact feeling of watching these games.
